"Our Cause for His Glory" is a comprehensive historical study that describes the varied and various encounters of the Jamaican people with Christianity in the thirty years following emancipation as enslaved peoples under British colonialism. The mainly missionary source material gives an unofficial viewpoint on the vicissitudes of the times and allows an islandwide study beyond centres of colonial government.
